Incident Summary:
On June 6th, 2024, our platform experienced a very brief partial interruption of service from 6:50 AM to 6:57 AM PT. During this period, some users actively engaging with the platform may have encountered a 503 maintenance page.
Customer Impact:
Due to the early hour of the issue, there was minimal impact to our overall user base. Those few users that were impacted experienced a very short window of seeing the maintenance page. Within seven minutes of the initial outage, services for all impacted users were fully restored.
Root Cause:
During the time of the incident, our platform experienced a significantly higher than usual volume of requests.
Resolution:
Safeguards were already in place to temporarily redirect traffic to our maintenance page while our system rebalanced the load to restore normal service operations.
Preventative Measures:
We are taking steps to enhance our system’s capacity and resilience to better handle high volumes in future with no impact to our users. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to improve your experience with our services.
